Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable School Receptionist to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Covering Reception: Ensure the smooth operation of the front desk, handling incoming calls, and responding to queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answering and Directing Calls: Answer and direct calls to the relevant departments or individuals, ensuring that all calls are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Meeting and Greeting Visitors: Greet visitors warmly and ensure that they are directed to the correct person or department, following the necessary procedures for signing in and out.
  • Assisting Students with Queries: Provide assistance to students with queries and concerns, ensuring that they receive the support they need in a timely and professional manner.
  • General Admin for the Team: Provide administrative support to the team, including tasks such as data entry, filing, and other general administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Professional Telephone Manner: Possess a professional telephone manner and personal demeanor, providing a warm welcome to the school.
  • Previous SIMS Experience: Have previous experience with SIMS, a school management system.
  • Highly Reliable: Be highly reliable and have a positive attitude to work, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge: Possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to use these tools to support administrative tasks.
  • Previous School Admin/Receptionist Experience: Have previous experience working in a school administrative or receptionist role.
  • DBS Disclosure: Be willing to undergo a DBS disclosure check, or have a current DBS disclosure.

Additional Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure: Possess an enhanced DBS disclosure, or be willing to apply for one.
  • Overseas Police Clearances: Provide overseas police clearances, if applicable.
  • Professional Reference Checks: Provide professional reference checks, as required.
  • CV Requirements: Ensure that your CV covers the last 10 years of employment history, where possible.
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK: Possess a legal right to work in the UK.
