About the Role:
The Permanency and Pathways Team at Flintshire Council is seeking an experienced social worker to join our team. As a social worker in this role, you will be responsible for supporting looked-after children and their families, working within the statutory framework of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act and other relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting children and families through the care planning process
- Managing the When I am Ready service, a post-18 service for care leavers
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues and other professionals
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children and families in a social care setting
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with colleagues and partner agencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
