Front End Developer / Software Engineer (TypeScript React)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Developer / Software Engineer to join our team at a start-up Investment Management firm in Newcastle. As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces and client dashboards for cutting-edge trading systems technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of technical projects and lead the development of user interfaces and client dashboards
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and technologies
  • Work independently to leverage new and emerging technologies
  • Contribute to the development of software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group university, backed by A's at A-level
  • Strong front end development experience with TypeScript and React
  • Good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices
  • Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
