Occupational Health Specialist

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of occupational health services. This includes interacting with clients, delivering clinical support, and acting as a consultant to guide clinical staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership, offering guidance and training to Occupational Health Advisors and Technicians.
- Manage complex cases from Occupational Health Advisors and Technicians, including fitness assessments and health surveillance programs.
- Investigate and manage individual cases of occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Oversee immunization programs for workplace hazards and business travelers.
- Promote best practices in workplace physical and mental health.
- Visit workplaces to advise on safe conditions.
- Case manage workers on sick leave and determine medical criteria for ill health retirement.
Requirements:
- Fellow or Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (F/MFOM) or recognized postgraduate qualification in Occupational Medicine or Health.
- Experience working within an Occupational Health role in public and private sectors.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
