About the Role
The Sheffield College is seeking a highly organized and creative Event Coordinator to join their team. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a crucial part in advancing the college's mission to put students at the center of all they do.
Reporting into the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will focus on celebrating the achievements of the college's remarkable students and staff, showcasing their successes both internally and externally. A key objective for this role is to help the college achieve recruitment and growth targets, particularly by attracting students to programs aligned with the region's priority sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- To lead and co-ordinate the events function and lead on the requirements for each project to include where necessary, stand design, build, set-up, attendee management, production of marketing materials, display and AV requirements, advertising and promotion, sourcing of guest speakers, transport, catering, event hosting and overall event budget management
- To lead on core college events including the event management, promotion and set-up of events such as open days, award celebrations, employer events and staff conferences
- To liaise with senior staff and curriculum areas to ensure their events requirements are met
- To assist and provide event support in collaboration with external partners for on campus and off campus events on external promotions and joint sponsorships that are undertaken with third parties
- To take a marketing lead on celebrating and promoting key dates, religious festivals and awareness days from the college's EDI calendar through internal communications, social media coverage and cross-college events
