Transport Planner

Polypipe Civils and Green Urbanisation, a leading manufacturer for civils and infrastructure projects, is seeking an Apprentice Transport Planner to join their team. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of customer orders, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the movement of goods and materials to meet customer demands.
- Develop and implement efficient transportation plans to minimize costs and maximize delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with sales teams, sub-contractor hauliers, and customers to ensure seamless delivery processes.
- Manage returns and collections, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize warehouse operations and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Assist with the integration and training of replacement Operations Admin Apprentice.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of logistics strategies to improve overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- C Grade in Maths and English Language HSCE or equivalent.
- Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 & CPC would be desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience of load planning & transport, with good geographical knowledge.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns to cover any holidays, sick, etc.
- 25 days holiday.
