Transport Planner

Polypipe Civils & Green Urbanisation design, develop and manufacture thermoplastic piping systems for civils and infrastructure projects with the industry’s widest choice of water management, surface water drainage, sewer and cable protection systems.

**The role**:
To ensure customers receive their orders in a safe and timely manner with a high standard of internal and external customer service.

**Working hours**:
40 hours per week, Monday
- Friday, alternating

each week between 04.00-12:30 and 10:30-19:00.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- To build and plan customer orders as cost effective as possible, using Polypipe vehicles as well as using and sourcing outside contractors
- Ensure that site requirements are identified, and appropriate action taken (including booking in of loads)
- Monitoring and managing Microlise, ability to put right any issues that may arise
- Monitor the planning report to provide lead times to the sales department
- Liaise with other departments regarding stock requirements
- Advise the sales department in any cases where the delivery schedule will not be met
- Despatch and process all paperwork as required
- Create and issue transport reports
- Work to build and maintain strong working relationships with your internal customers
- Manage returns and collections as and when required
- In addition to the tasks in this job description your will be expected to carry out any other task that can be reasonably expected
- Maintain a can-do attitude and able to work within a busy team environment

- Transport Planning Experience, desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work as part of team
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels
