Transport Planner

Polypipe Civils and Green Urbanisation, a leading manufacturer for civils and infrastructure projects, is seeking an Apprentice Transport Planner to join their team. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of customer orders, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the utilization of Polypipe vehicles and sourcing of external contractors to meet customer demands.
- Communicate with the sales department to address any delivery schedule issues.
- Generate and distribute transport reports to track progress.
- Manage returns and collections as required.
- Ensure accurate use of the IFS system and maintain real-time updates.
- Assist with the integration and training of replacement Operations Admin Apprentice.
- Support the efficient management of the fleet and record defects in trailers and trucks.
- C Grade in Maths and English Language HSCE or equivalent.
- Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 and CPC would be desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in load planning and transport, with good geographical knowledge.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns to cover holidays, sick leave, etc.
- 25 days holiday.
