About the Role

The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Deputy Director of Member Support. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the leadership and management of our member support services, working closely with the Director of Member Support and other stakeholders to drive strategic development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director in managing a team of specialist support staff, developing strategies to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and development, and implement initiatives to achieve these goals.
  • Lead and manage projects to optimize member support services, ensuring alignment with ASCL's strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, schools, and colleges, to promote ASCL's services and benefits.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure effective member support and engagement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, with a track record of delivering results and driving growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of the education sector and its challenges, with a passion for supporting school and college leaders.
What We Offer

ASCL offers a competitive salary, ranging from £68,259 to £75,310 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a generous package of benefits, including 33 days' holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme to which the association contributes 9%.
