About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to lead our data strategy efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective data policies and strategies to create a data-enabled NHS.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business cases for data services programmes to ensure allocation and utilisation of funding to deliver the value estimated.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategies across the organisation and ensure a collaborative approach to data strategy for the NHS.
  • Lead data maturity / capability assessments, develop data methodologies and accelerators to enhance the NHS data delivery capability.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships within the NHS to communicate on programme offerings and achieve buy-in.
  • Work with the Data Governance team to direct the definition of data policies, standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies and policies.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
