Statutory Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Statutory Accountant to join our client's finance team on a 24-month contract. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of financial statements and supporting the Head of Finance in achieving a balanced budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Finance in monitoring the completion of financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Produce draft financial statements for subsidiary entities and central funds, including comprehensive working papers.
  • Respond to external audit queries and prepare and submit VAT and other tax returns.
  • Support the Head of Finance in project managing the transfer of the main finance system to the cloud and lead on the reduction of bank accounts.
  • Undertake audits as directed by the Head of Finance and update standard operating procedures for key financial processes.
