Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and diverse team at a high-achieving primary school in London. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to students with SEN
  • Develop and implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behavior
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students, parents, and colleagues as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEN in a primary school setting
  • Ability to motivate and engage students with SEN
  • Strong behavior management skills and ability to develop and implement effective strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
