The Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Local Democracy Support Officer to join our team. This role will provide essential administrative and advisory support to elected members, committees, and senior officers, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work on projects that make a difference in our community, with a competitive salary of approximately £34,314 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Democratic Services Team with meeting organisation, agenda production, and minute taking.
  • Contribute to associated administrative work for meetings, including preparation and publication of the Forward Plan.
  • Facilitate scrutiny meetings, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and distributed within statutory timeframes.
