Resident Liaison Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Liaison Officer to join our Property Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing information, advice, and assistance to tenants and leaseholders during major works on their homes.
You will work closely with contractors, consultants, and Resident Liaison Officers to develop, agree, and manage project plans, coordinate temporary or permanent re-housing, and provide assistance to leaseholders regarding their financial obligations.
Additional responsibilities include liaising with contractors, external agencies, and council colleagues to resolve disputes, processing claims submitted by residents, and maintaining a customer feedback and complaints procedure.
You will also be responsible for designing and carrying out social surveys, devising systems for reporting defects, and ensuring adequate provision is made for vulnerable residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide information, advice, and assistance to tenants and leaseholders during major works
- Work closely with contractors, consultants, and Resident Liaison Officers to develop, agree, and manage project plans

- Liaise with contractors, external agencies, and council colleagues to resolve disputes

Requirements:
- Well-developed knowledge of the construction industry and site operations
- Good understanding of health and safety and current developments in housing policy and customer service
- Hands-on experience of social housing or local government
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative and conscientious team-working abilities
- Confident user of MS Word and Excel
