Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Medical Laboratory Assistant team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced laboratory environment. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in specimen reception, data entry, and filing areas, maintaining accurate records of laboratory results and patient information, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities
* Receive and process specimens for laboratory testing
* Enter data into computer systems accurately and efficiently
* Maintain accurate records of laboratory results and patient information
* Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities

Person Specification
* Evidence of numeracy and literacy (e.g. standard pass or better for GCSEs in mathematics and English Language)
* A level or equivalent qualification
* Basic understanding of laboratory health and safety requirements
