About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to work alongside our Lead Consultant in progressing the County's Children's Homes Strategy.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of managing and/or leading the development of children's homes up to registration with Ofsted, ideally within local authorities.

They will be required to offer their expertise to the county on a part-time basis, up to 3 days a week (negotiable), by working alongside the team already in place and providing their expertise.

Working patterns are flexible, although the ideal candidate will need to have the ability to be in Gloucester on a weekly basis, specifically to oversee the ongoing development of the refurbished children's homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the county's Children's Homes Team.
  • Work alongside the Lead Consultant to progress the County's Children's Homes Strategy.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of care provided in children's homes.
  • Collaborate with local authorities to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of managing and/or leading the development of children's homes up to registration with Ofsted.
  • Experience of working within local authorities.
  • Strong social work skills and ability to provide emotional support.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in medication administration and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Excellent budgeting and financial acumen.
