Digital Services Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative pharmacy team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy services in our dispensary and wards, ensuring the safe, clinical, and cost-effective use of medicines.
Main Duties of the JobAs a clinical pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on the use of medicines to treat patients within a specialist area. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and patients, and to manage difficult or ambiguous situations.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a clinical pharmacist with a Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, and a postgraduate diploma in clinical or technical pharmacy or equivalent demonstrable experience. You will also need to be registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and to be working towards and have completed an Independent Prescribing qualification by commencement in post.
Desirable CriteriaIt would be desirable for the successful candidate to have experience of managing the entry of new medicines into a hospital formulary, and to be a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. You will also need to have experience of multidisciplinary team working, and of implementing and/or reviewing policies, guidelines, PGDs or equivalent.
Skills, Ability, and KnowledgeWe are looking for a clinical pharmacist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage difficult or ambiguous situations. You will also need to have a highly specialised knowledge of the treatment of patients in a range of Emergency and Acute Care sub-specialties, and to be able to provide expert advice on the use of medicines to treat patients within a specialist area.
