About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team as an NHS Advanced Care Paramedic. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality healthcare to our community.

Job Overview

This role requires a skilled Paramedic with excellent communication and clinical skills. You will be working closely with our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to provide comprehensive care to patients with undifferentiated diagnoses.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Telephone consultations for on-the-day patient requests, advising on self-care or signposting for face-to-face consultations
  • Prioritizing patients' health problems in urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of emergency care if required
  • Assessing, examining, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating holistic treatment/interventions and care for patients with undifferentiated diagnoses on an acute or minor illness basis
  • Providing information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medications, side effects, and interactions
  • Liaising with the practice nurse team for follow-up of patients requiring wound management or phlebotomy
  • Arranging investigations with secondary care or community services as needed
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of equipment and stock related to patient care
  • Helping cover staff holidays and sickness when required
  • Training and personal development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Paramedicine or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience in a similar role or equivalent clinical experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
