About the Role

The Goddard School of Rocky Hill, CT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our school facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise cleaning and caretaking staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
  • Coordinate with external contractors to ensure timely completion of projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee the security of the building and grounds, including access control and alarm systems.
  • Manage bookings for school facilities and ensure that they are available for use by staff and students.
  • Conduct regular checks on heating, lighting, and other essential systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Procure and manage equipment and supplies for facilities across the school.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Valid DBS check and ability to work with vulnerable populations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
