**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Head of Payment Operations Management to join our team at Pay Limited. This is a key role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our payment operations, clearing, and settlement services.

About the Role:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of end-to-end payment processes and clearing operations for Bacs, Faster Payments (FPS), ICS, and Managed Services.
  • Lead day-to-day monitoring of suppliers' performance to ensure seamless payment services, meeting customer expectations.
  • Oversee end-to-end customer performance monitoring against agreed service levels, achieving targets, and documenting performance data against SLAs.
  • Support incident management, including out-of-hours incidents, with contingency arrangements in place.
  • Review and maintain crisis management procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory matters and risks, ensuring alignment with the Regulatory Engagement & Policy Directorate.
  • Undertake customer performance reviews, holding customers accountable for their performance, and implementing risk management methods in line with the Pay.UK Risk Framework.
  • Ensure effective completion and maintenance of procedural documentation, updating relevant areas of the Pay.UK website.
  • Hold regular customer committee meetings, providing updates on performance and operational efficiency.
  • Manage risk within Payments Operations, adhering to the Pay.UK Risk Framework, and collaborating with the Payments Risk Team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Detailed working and operational knowledge of payment services, particularly Bacs, FPS, ICS, and Reference Data.
  • Proven expertise in delivering complex services in a heavily regulated environment, meeting regulatory stakeholders' expectations.
  • Experience in operational risk management, gained in Financial Services.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify potential risks, limitations, and opportunities related to operations activities.
  • Technical and business background, with operational experience in Financial Services.
