Job Summary

As a key member of our team at Belong, the Housekeeping Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for our customers across all village facilities and households.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver domestic services that uphold the core values of Belong and meet organisational requirements, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of customers, team members, and visitors.
  • Respond to individual customer needs for domestic support to enable them to maintain their household accommodation.
  • Assist the team by responding to requests for assistance with housekeeping, including cleaning and laundry tasks.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates qualities that align with Belong's vision and values.
  • Communicates clearly and maintains a professional manner.
  • Works independently and collaboratively as part of a team to meet customer needs and achieve team goals.
  • Prioritises tasks and completes them to the required standard and in a timely manner.
  • Able to undertake moving and handling of loads, using specialist equipment when necessary.
  • Able to perform housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry, using relevant equipment.
  • Able to complete written work records.
  • Displays a customer-focused approach with a desire to serve others.
  • Aware of Health and Safety requirements and able to follow product safety advice sheets and procedures.
  • Reliable and able to meet contracted hours and work patterns, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Diploma/NVQ 2 in Cleaning and Building Interiors or equivalent is essential, with a willingness to work towards it if not already in possession.
  • Experience in commercial or domestic cleaning is desirable.
