Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse - Acute Ward

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Marchwood, Southampton area.

This hospital has established a reputation for providing the highest standards of care and specializes in the management and treatment of mental health problems, including eating disorders.

To be considered for this role, you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with the clinical team and maintaining up-to-date CPA and risk assessment documentation.
  • Communicate concerns relating to patient care and deputize in the absence of the Ward Manager to manage staffing and clinical needs.
  • Support and supervise new or junior staff, and contribute to the development and implementation of new services.
  • Manage the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care plans, promoting a professional working environment and high standards of patient care.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests, and professional practices.
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
