Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse - Acute Ward

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team in a leading healthcare provider based in the Southampton area.

This hospital has established a reputation for delivering high-quality care and specializes in the management and treatment of mental health problems, including eating disorders.

To be considered for this role, you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring effective communication with the clinical team and maintaining up-to-date CPA and risk assessment documentation.
  • Communicate concerns related to patient care and deputize for the Ward Manager and Deputy as required.
  • Support and supervise new or junior staff, and contribute to the development and implementation of new services.
  • Manage the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care plans, promoting a professional working environment and high standards of patient care.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests, and professional practices.
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
