Primary Care Clinician

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Care Practitioner to join our team at The Birches Medical Centre and Martlesham Heath Surgery.
This role is ideal for a skilled professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing primary care services.
The successful candidate will work on the day assessment of patients, utilizing their clinical expertise and judgment to diagnose and treat minor injuries. They will also provide face-to-face consultations, refer patients as necessary, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct daily consultations with patients or their representatives
- Facilitate comprehensive patient histories during consultations, including physical examinations if needed
- Apply expert knowledge and clinical judgment to identify potential diagnoses
- Determine and implement treatment plans, referring patients to secondary care when necessary
- Prescribe medication, if authorized, in accordance with local formularies and practice protocols
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Experience working within Primary Care or GP Practice
- Specialism in long-term condition management (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work autonomously and independently as a non-medical prescriber
This post requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
