About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Area Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates in a cluster within the UK, with a focus on optimizing operations and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of associates in a cluster within the UK, with a focus on optimizing operations and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, safety, and associate engagement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with Amazon's high standards.
  4. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions.
  5. Provide day-to-day support and guidance to associates, including training and development opportunities.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety protocols.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including associates, managers, and external partners.
  8. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  9. Prepare and participate in Operations daily calls to communicate team performance to leadership.

Our Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a critical role in our success, using air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology. As a member of our team, you will be part of a diverse and dynamic group that is passionate about delivering exceptional results.

What We're Looking For
  • A Transport Managers Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) National and International.
  • Relevant experience in leading a busy and large-scale transport operation within a growing and rapidly scaling business.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and data-driven decision making.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Operations Research, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar related discipline.
  • Experience of being named on an Operators Licence within the Transport industry.
