Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Chef to join our team at Glenholme Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply and share knowledge of COSHH, HACCP, and Health standards/Regulations with staff to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate records as stipulated by Environmental Health, Food Standards Agency, CQC, and the company.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and the ability to create balanced and appetizing menus.
  • Experience in working with fresh seasonal food and maintaining high hygiene standards.
