About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team in Central Scotland. As a key member of our Care Asset Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents and staff, as well as maintaining the overall presentation of our care homes and gardens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks to create a safe environment for everyone, including fire alarm, water flushing, and bed safety checks.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing skills and DIY experience.
  • Liaise with contractors and coordinate their services to ensure high-quality work.
  • Engage with residents, their families, and colleagues as part of daily activities.
  • Visit other care homes as necessary to provide cover or as part of planned maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Practical skills in recognizing and performing minor repairs.
  • Fundamental knowledge of health and safety protocols, including familiarity with Legionella disease.
  • Valid driver's license and access to personal transportation.
  • Ability to use an iPad and/or laptop, as well as compliance applications.
