Materials Science Expert

An exciting opportunity has arisen to contribute to the development of cutting-edge energy storage technologies at Cranleigh STEM, Sustainability & SHEQ Recruitment. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials Scientist to join our research team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing R&D projects targeting performance and scalability improvements in energy storage materials. This will involve collaborating with project leads to develop advanced solutions that enhance the performance of energy storage cells and pushing the boundaries of current technologies.
The Senior Materials Scientist will also lead innovation efforts to adapt and improve current technologies for application in large-scale commercial products. Additionally, they will support the growth of electrolyte and materials research, fostering cross-functional collaboration within the company.
We require a PhD in Electrochemistry, Material Science, Energy Technologies, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of industrial (or post-doc) experience in R&D or a related capacity. Expertise in electrochemical cell design, component interactions, and testing methodologies is essential.
The successful candidate will receive a salary of approximately £60,000 per annum, plus excellent company benefits.
