Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

The Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team based at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse team, providing occupational therapy services to individuals in crisis, and supporting them in their recovery. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing treatment plans, working closely with colleagues and service users to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The team is passionate about providing alternatives to hospital admissions, and you will be part of a proactive and highly skilled team that is focused on managing risk and supporting service users in Norwich, South, North, and Central Norfolk. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a varied occupational therapy role, working alongside and learning from senior clinicians.

The role involves a range of responsibilities, including shift coordination, triaging, assessments, and working in home treatment within a community setting. You will also have the opportunity to support the development of the team and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with service users and colleagues
  • Providing occupational therapy services to individuals in crisis, including assessments and interventions
  • Working closely with the team to achieve the best possible outcomes for service users
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and supporting the development of the team


Essential qualifications and experience include a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy, HPC state recognition, and clinical supervisor qualification or willingness to work towards it. Desirable qualifications and experience include relevant postgraduate training courses and experience in delivering group-based interventions.
