Job Opportunity: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and understanding Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Autism.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate tailored learning in all subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a pupil with Autism
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Support the pupil with daily living tasks and activities
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, parents, and school staff

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Ability to adapt approach to meet the changing needs of the pupil
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Reliability and flexibility
  • Ability to drive or access to reliable transportation
