SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and understanding SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with an EHCP for Autism in a Bolton community school.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate tailored learning in all subjects. The role requires adaptability, initiative, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 SEN support to a pupil with Autism
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Support the pupil in all subjects, using a range of strategies to promote engagement and understanding
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, parents, and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to support

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly Autism
  • Ability to adapt approach to meet changing needs and behaviors
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to drive or access reliable transportation
