Game Design Director Opportunity

Light & Wonder, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Game Design Director to lead our team of game designers in creating captivating and engaging casino slot land-based games. As a key member of our Gaming team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing game concepts that drive slot gameplay and provide the best gaming experience for our players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of game designers to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Organize brainstorming sessions to generate creative game concepts and themes that align with market trends and player preferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and develop game concepts.
  • Ensure game designs align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Work with Business Intelligence Analysts and Market Experts to refine and improve designs.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful execution of design concepts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to enhance game designs.
  • Work closely with commercial and marketing teams to develop strategies for game launches and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading on game design, with a focus on casino slot games.
  • Thorough comprehension of fundamental game design principles.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in casino slot game design.
  • Strong knowledge of game development processes and methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders, including executives, publishers, and marketing teams.
  • Artistic appreciation and understanding of the aesthetic aspects of game design.
  • Mathematical acumen, particularly in math models relevant to game design.
  • Knowledge of European casino gaming regulations and compliance.
