About the Role

Stripe is a leading financial infrastructure platform that enables businesses to accept payments and grow their revenue. We're seeking an experienced fraud investigator to join our Risk Operations team.

This role involves conducting complex data analysis to identify and mitigate large-scale distributed fraud attacks. You'll work closely with fraud strategy, detection, and data science teams to implement mitigations and collaborate with stakeholders to expand automated detection of fraudulent merchants.

We're looking for someone with a deep understanding of fraud patterns and typologies, advanced SQL proficiency, and strong analytical abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced data analysis to identify emerging complex fraud attacks impacting Stripe and its users.
  • Investigate and deploy remediations to prevent future complex and distributed fraud attacks.
  • Work with engineering and data science teams to enhance automated detection and actioning of fraudulent accounts.
  • Respond to high-priority incidents involving complex fraud schemes.
  • Utilize analytics to identify and implement initiatives to automate manual processes and workload.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of experience conducting advanced data analysis.
  • Advanced level proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience working with modeling, data science, and intelligence stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive execution on projects in a cross-functional environment.
