Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced science technician to join our team at a mainstream secondary academy in Rochdale. As a key member of our science department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining laboratory equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong science background and experience working in a school or college environment. However, we are also open to considering applicants with industry experience or recent graduates with a passion for science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to science teachers and students
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it is in good working order
  • Assisting with the preparation and setup of laboratory experiments
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed in the laboratory
