About the Role

As a Public Health Staff Nurse with HCRG Care Group, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of school-age children and young people. You will work in partnership with families, schools, and other agencies to provide a service that reduces inequalities, safeguards children, and improves outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify and assess vulnerable children and families, working closely with the Specialist School Nurse to develop and implement targeted interventions.
  • Contribute to the development of the School Nursing Service in your defined locality, using your skills and expertise to inform practice and improve health outcomes.
  • Deliver a child-centered service, engaging with young people and their families to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with key partners to address public health needs, advocating for children, young people, and families across the locality.
