Nuclear Power Plant Electrical Systems Designer:

National Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced Nuclear Power Plant Electrical Systems Designer to join their team. As a key member of the Remote Engineering Design & Robotics Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for nuclear power plants.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a closely related subject, with a strong background in 2D CAD design packages, preferably AutoCAD. Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements relating to engineering product development projects and CE/UKCA marking is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Use of AutoCAD 2D CAD design package for production of 2D detailed design drawings and schematics
  • Involvement with the build, installation, commissioning, and operational support of plant-based equipment and inactive development test rigs
  • Development of prototype equipment and processes through to supply of end products

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000-£85,000 per annum, plus benefits such as pension plans, annual leave, reduced gym membership, and access to excellent development programs.
