Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex needs in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with ASC in a classroom setting
  • Supervising pupils' behavior and promoting positive interactions
  • Encouraging and aiding pupils' learning and development through adaptive strategies
  • Supporting social interaction and engagement among pupils
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and planning activities
  • Providing personal care as needed
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or adults with ASC
  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with teachers and pupils
  • Valid child and adult enhanced DBS registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Able to commit to a 6-12 month term
