About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Siamo Recruitment, a division of Siamo Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including bespoke machinery.
  • Work to set schedules for maintenance work orders, ensuring regular maintenance of parts reduces failure and prevents large-scale issues or stoppages.
  • Build and develop new maintenance schedules, working alongside technicians and production operatives to ensure productive workflows.
  • Report all failures to the Engineering Manager, including causes, concerns, and actions in reports.
  • Fill in tickets for completion of all work.
  • Manufacture parts using machines – lathes, mills, grinders, and more.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings when necessary.
  • Assist with installations of new tools/machines when required.
  • Provide general maintenance within the site.
Requirements
  • Experience working with electrical components or electronics in some capacity.
  • Mechanical Engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • A fundamental understanding of industrial electrical circuits.
  • Fully competent working independently or within a team.
  • Exposure to working with machines such as lathes and mills.
  • Previous experience working to extremely low tolerances is advantageous.
  • A rudimentary understanding of electronic engineering would be viewed highly.
  • Full UK driving license.
