About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a prestigious business in the engineering sector. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including bespoke machinery.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failure and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with technicians and production operatives to ensure efficient workflows and optimal productivity.
  • Report all equipment failures and maintenance activities to the Engineering Manager.
  • Manufacture parts using machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Assist with installations of new tools and machines as required.
  • Provide general maintenance support across the site.
Requirements
  • Mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of industrial electrical circuits.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience working with machines such as lathes and mills.
  • Previous experience working to tight tolerances is advantageous.
  • Rudimentary understanding of electronic engineering is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving license.
