Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inclusion Strategist to play a key role in delivering activity in line with the Inclusion strategy, which forms part of the BFI's wider strategic aims outlined in Screen Culture 2033. This role will drive the delivery of strategic initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion throughout the film industry.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge & Experience

  1. Proven experience in driving inclusion and diversity efforts in the film or television industry.
  2. Strong reporting skills to measure and communicate the impact of inclusion activity.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and promote the importance of inclusion, access, and diversity.
  4. Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft M365.
  5. Demonstrable experience of managing complex external stakeholder relationships.
Skills & Approach
  1. The ability to think critically and adapt to change.
  2. Good problem-solving skills which can be utilised individually and as a team.
  3. Strong planning skills with an emphasis on delivery and collaboration.
  4. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and to manage and meet deadlines.
  5. An investment in and proven track record of equitable and inclusive practice specifically including a commitment to being anti-racist and anti-ableist.
  6. A commitment to continual professional development.
Requirements
  1. Develop and implement activity to meet the Inclusion strategy that aligns with BFI's wider strategic aims outlined in Screen Culture 2033.
  2. Drive the delivery of strategic initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion throughout the film industry.
  3. Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of inclusion programs and projects, leading with established project management structures, clear governance, clear milestones, and accountable management of risk.
  4. Monitor and report on the progress and impact of this activity, using quantitative and qualitative insights for continuous improvement.
