We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge interconnect solutions for critical applications in the military and aerospace industries.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in glass-to-metal seal feedthroughs and military/aerospace connectors. As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in the development and optimization of new products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the stringent performance, reliability, and safety standards of these industries.

Main Responsibilities
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in mechanical design, material selection, and testing methods.
  • Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex engineering challenges.
  • Aid the sales team with identifying new engineering opportunities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of engineering revenue through project management.
  • Input to the new product strategic development.
  • Responsibility for configuration control for drawings, manufacturing documentation, and ERP.
  • Review and implementation of customer drawing change requests.
  • Ensure that manufactured products meet specification and that testing/documentation accompanies this.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on new product development, materials science, glass-to-metal seals, and/or military/aerospace connectors.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or Pro/Engineer) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools.
