Lead Engineer for Critical Applications

Amphenol Corporation is a leading manufacturer of high-quality precision components for harsh and demanding environments. We are seeking a talented Lead Engineer for Critical Applications to join our team.
About the Role
As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing cutting-edge products for critical applications and delivering commercial interconnect solutions to our customers' needs.
Your Responsibilities
- Technical leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in mechanical design, material selection, and testing methods.
- Aid sales team with new engineering opportunities.
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering revenue through project management.
- Input to the new product strategic development.
- Responsibility for configuration control for drawings, manufacturing documentation, and ERP.
- Review and implementation of customer drawing change requests.
- Ensuring product manufactured meets specification and the testing/documentation to accompany this.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced mechanical engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in new product development, materials science, glass-to-metal seals, and/or military/aerospace connectors.

- An estimated salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.
