Compliance and Taxation Manager

Reporting to the Head of Tax, Morrisons is seeking a highly skilled Customs and Excise Manager to oversee all aspects of Customs and Excise compliance across the Morrisons Group.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Customs and Excise compliance for imports and exports, ensuring accurate classification and identification of risks and opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure Customs and Excise compliance, including commercial, retail, wholesale, supply chain, and logistics.
- Ensure accurate accrual and reconciliation of all duties, and serve as the primary point of contact for HMRC on Customs and Excise matters.
- Proactively research and advise on regulatory changes affecting Customs and Excise, and provide training and coaching to commercial colleagues on Customs and Excise legislation.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the business meets its obligations under the Authorised Economic Operator and Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Schemes.
