Job Title: Compliance and Finance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Finance Director to join our team at Liberty Global. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting and tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and other financial reports to HMRC and other regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with senior managers to drive system improvements and implement best practices in financial compliance.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of financial reports, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate reporting and communication of financial information.
  • Onboard new operating entities and scope out reporting requirements for VAT compliance tools.
Requirements:
  • Professional accountancy or tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA etc) or part-qualified with proven VAT compliance PQE.
  • Experience with VAT compliance, ledger accounting, or other tax compliance activity is an advantage.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion).
  • Ability to research and resolve complex accounting or taxation issues.
