About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Cardiology CNS to lead our team in providing expert nursing services to children and young people with cardiac conditions across South & Mid Wales.

As the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Cardiology, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading the team to deliver high-quality care to families referred to the Cardiology service. You will also manage the Cardiology CNS team, attend multidisciplinary team meetings, clinics, and ward rounds, and liaise with all areas within child health to establish positive relationships.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of caring for children with cardiology healthcare needs and will be able to demonstrate their expertise in clinical leadership and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Cardiology CNS team to deliver expert nursing services to children and young people with cardiac conditions
  • Manage the Cardiology CNS team, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Attend multidisciplinary team meetings, clinics, and ward rounds to ensure effective communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Liaise with all areas within child health to establish positive relationships and ensure seamless care for patients
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care for patients
Requirements
  • Significant experience of caring for children with cardiology healthcare needs
  • Proven clinical leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Current registration with the NMC
