We are seeking a passionate SEN Support Specialist to join our team at an Outstanding Ofsted-rated SEND secondary school in Tameside.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with the SEN department and class teachers to plan and deliver high-quality, tailored lessons for students with a range of special educational needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing lessons that meet the needs of students with SEN, ensuring all students make progress in line with their individual learning plans.
  • Differentiating the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a truly inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.
  • Supporting students in the development of their social, emotional, and behavioral skills, fostering an atmosphere of respect and inclusion.
  • Writing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and supporting with the monitoring and tracking of student progress.
