Job Overview:
Hunter Dunning Limited is a multidisciplinary consultancy group focusing on ecology and BNG projects across mid- and Northern regions. We are looking for an experienced Ecologist to join our team and support our clients with ecology and biodiversity net gain assessments.

Key Job Duties:
1. Support the wider group with ecology and BNG assessments
2. Conduct site and client visits across the region
3. Perform BNG option assessments for planning applications and biodiversity gain plans
4. Carry out habitat surveys, EIA, and enhancement plans
5. Coordinate external freelancers and contractors for ecological surveys
6. Write reports and assist with planning submissions
7. Support the growth of the department as the business expands.

Essential Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a similar role (Ecologist, EIA, BNG Specialist, or similar)
2. BNG experience including impact assessments
3. Ecological survey experience
4. Experience with purchasing biodiversity units and credits as part of an offsetting scheme
5. Full Driving licence and access to a car
6. Consultancy experience strongly desired.
