As a Public Affairs Officer with StepChange Debt Charity, you'll play a vital role in shaping the conversation around debt and financial well-being in Scotland. To make sure our voice is heard and that our insights drive meaningful change in public policy.

  • Monitor and Strategize: Stay on top of social policy developments, legislative changes, and media trends that impact our clients. You'll use your insights to craft targeted lobbying campaigns and influence plans that resonate with Parliament and the public.
  • Write and Report: Craft compelling briefings, letters, blogs, and reports that distil complex information into digestible content for diverse audiences. Your writing will help drive our advocacy efforts and keep our stakeholders informed.
  • Advocate for Change: Use your expertise to inform and shape public policy, ensuring that the voices of those in debt are heard and valued.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with our team to develop and implement effective advocacy strategies that drive meaningful change.
