About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant to join our team at Public Health Scotland. As a key member of our Clinical and Protecting Health Directorate, you will play a crucial role in protecting the people of Scotland from infectious and environmental hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other topic teams to identify, develop, and embed national and corporate priorities to reduce health inequality gaps.
  • Provide leadership, management, and expert specialist advice on issues relating to Gastrointestinal Infections.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based approaches to inform the work of Public Health Scotland and their partners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Scotland to drive forward change and improve outcomes for people in communities.

Requirements:

  • Eligible as a competent person under the Public Health (Scotland) Act 2008.
  • Current GMC/GDC/UKPHR registration at the time of applying.
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively and direct activities of others in a politically sensitive environment.
