About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Public Affairs and Communications team as a Public Affairs Officer. The successful candidate will support our public affairs activities across Scotland to achieve positive change in legislation and policy for people with mental health problems and those who use our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of SAMH's public affairs strategy
  • Contribute to the development of policy, research, and lobbying work
  • Engage with stakeholders, including policy-makers, politicians, and colleagues across SAMH
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including those with lived experience of mental health problems
  • Work collaboratively as part of a small team to achieve shared goals
